Buzzy Jackson is an award-winning author, book critic, and historian. She is the author of The Inspirational Athiest (Penguin Random House), Shaking the Family Tree (Simon & Schuster), and A Bad Woman Feeling Good (W.W. Norton). Buzzy is a veteran of the New York City publishing industry where she worked the slush piles at a literary agency. She went on to get her PhD in history from UC Berkeley and is currently a research affiliate with The Center of the American West at CU-Boulder. Buzzy writes about books for The Boston Globe, The Los Angeles Review of Books, and BookForum. In 2018, she will be working on a historical novel as an Edith Wharton writer-in-residence at The Mount, Wharton’s historic home in Lenox, MA.
