Brad Wetzler has written hundreds of nonfiction articles and essays for top publications including The New York Times Magazine, The New York Times Book Review, Newsweek, GQ, Wired, National Geographic, Wired, Men’s Journal, Travel + Leisure, George, where he was a contributing editor, and Outside, where he was a senior editor and monthly columnist. His book, Real Mosquitoes Don’t Eat Meat (W.W. Norton), is a collection of his Outside magazine Wild File columns. His writing has been anthologized in Norton’s Best American Travel Writing series and Outside 25: The Best of Outside Magazine’s First 25 Years. His Adventuring column, published by Universal Press Syndicate, was published monthly in more than 200 newspapers. He taught writing as an adjunct English professor at The College of Santa Fe and was a member of the faculty of Lighthouse Writers Workshop’s Book Project. He coaches people to write books. When he’s not writing, editing, and coaching, he practices and teaches yoga and hikes with his dog Blue in the mountains near is home in Boulder, Colorado.
