Writership Tuition Remission
At Lighthouse, one of our core values is to make the highest quality writing instruction and community support available to writers of all ages, backgrounds, and socio-economic levels. We work to keep tuition as low as possible while keeping class sizes small. Even so, tuition can be out of reach for many.
The mission of the Writership program is to provide tuition assistance to writers who are enriched by the programming at Lighthouse, yet find the cost prohibitive. Writership funds, which are replenished annually through our Fly-By Writer's Project fundraisers and our annual Poker Party, will be used for those writers who demonstrate commitment to the craft, show promise in their writing, and who would not otherwise be able to afford to take workshops or attend seminars at Lighthouse.
How to Apply
In order to apply, please download and fill out the PDF Writership application and e-mail (firstname.lastname@example.org) or deliver it back to Lighthouse. This is for future workshops only; unfortunately, we cannot award financial assistance retroactively. Though limited funds are available, we do our best to accommodate all qualifying applicants.
