These legendary words from E.M. Forster can tell us not only about his stories, but our own as well. With our readers as our kings, how do we keep them wondering what happens next? How do we propel our stories forward?
In this four-week all-levels fiction course, we will investigate our works in progress under Forster's lens, seeking to keep our readers (our kings) on the hook and leave them wanting more. Come for discussion of plot in short fiction, pacing, and conflict. This four-week course will include short, informal feedback for those who choose to share.
