4-Week: Writing for the Greater Good

$205.00 Members
$230.00 Non-members

In this four-week course, we will ask how a writer can affect the world for the better, how we can create a better world through our work. We will look closely at writing by George Orwell, Ted Conover, Adrian Nicole LeBlanc, Jeff Hobbs, and Anne Fadiman, and ask what kind of writing moves a reader towards empathy and towards change. And we will apply what we learn to our own craft, so that we can move the world in a more positive direction.

This course is currently full, but we encourage you to join the waitlist and check out an alternative workshop, including our 4-Week Reading as a Writer:"Ask Me" William Stafford's Plain Speak, 8-Week Intermediate Memoir and Personal Essay Workshop, 4-Week Reading as a Writer: Octavia Butler's Lilith's Brood. If a space should open up for you in this course, we'd be happy to transfer your registration.
