Creation Myths

Creation myths are not just stories where something is created; they are explanations of how life came to exist and how the world was formed. What do creation myths have to do with writing? Everything, actually. Edwidge Danticat writes: “All artists, writers among them, have several stories—one might call them creation myths—that haunt and obsess them.” In this class, we’ll be answering the following questions: What are your personal creations myths?How have they shaped you?
