What's at Stake Here? Writing about ParenthoodDescription:
Parenthood is one of the most common human experiences. It is meaningful, difficult, fraught, and indescribably rewarding—yet the daily performance of parenting's all-encompassing duties means that we often don't get to reflect deeply on how it impacts our humanity, our identity, our health, our lives as artists. In this one-day workshop, we will begin to mine the depths by looking closely at relevant poetry and prose excerpts, then writing our hearts out after with focused prompts. Feel free to bring laptops, but also pen and paper for a specific exercise.
There will be an hour break for lunch, during which you can bring your own lunch or enjoy one of the many restaurants in the area.
