8-Week: Online Poetry Workshop--Space and the Cosmic

What makes the stars, the moon, the farthest galaxies so appealing to write about? In this generative poetry workshop, we’ll take up this question while we explore poetic process and craft. This will be a course that fuses a discussion-based workshop with a theme that is evocative of what poetry does best—to search and explore the unknown. Through a series of adventurous writing exercises, we will gain invaluable insight into how to fill the vast emptiness, the farthest galaxy with our work. There will be a workshop component to this course; all levels and aesthetics welcome.

About Online Classes with Lighthouse
Our online classes are designed to be flexible. There is no set meeting date or time, so students can log in to participate whenever and wherever is convenient. Generally the instructor will post new material—such as readings, discussion questions, and writing prompts—on Mondays and students can post their responses to ongoing discussion feeds throughout the week.

On the Monday that class starts, we will send enrollees instructions on how to log into their specific online class.
