8-Week: Intermediate/Advanced Screenwriting WorkshopDescription:
In this eight-week intermediate/advanced workshop we'll focus on the completed or partially completed draft. Through group critiques, we will examine your script for use of best practices of the form, dynamic character development, engaging dialogue, and an organic and well-motivated plot. The group will provide feedback, focusing on the screenwriter’s effective use of the form and the principals of storytelling. The purpose of this class is to iterate drafts and move the development of your screenplay toward a Reading Draft that film and television producers might seriously consider.
Prerequisite: This workshop is for intermediate/advanced screenwriters who have taken at least one screenwriting workshop and have a completed draft of a short or full-length screenplay. For permission to join the class, please email a draft of your screenplay and a brief description of your workshop history to firstname.lastname@example.org.
