Marisa Tirado

Marisa Tirado (she/her) is a writer and educator who studied poetry and literary translation at the Iowa Writers’ Workshop. In 2022 Marisa published Selena Didn’t Know Spanish Either with Texas Review Press and in 2023 she was nominated for Best New Poets Series. Her work is featured in The Atlantic, Vogue, Forbes, The Poetry Foundation, Colorado Review, Virginia Quarterly Review, and Triquarterly, among other journals. Marisa is currently working on a second poetry collection on cousinhood, along with a novel set in New Mexico. Marisa currently teaches at University of Colorado-Boulder.
