In Angela Flores's own words:

"For submissions, I'm certainly interested in a wide range of forms and styles, especially, but not limited to, experimental works - in form, thought, or perspective. Although I tend to gravitate toward imagery, narrative, ekphrasis, works steeped in cultural specificity and history, I'm not limited to these and ultimately search for writing that is clear and purposeful, which is to say work with a voice that is cognizant of the reader and focused on communication and connection, even if the work is not entirely 'polished.' At the magazine, we prioritize new writers, in our case first-time contributors, and we're devoted to work that presents surprising language and complicates current poetic sensibilities."
