4-Week: The Imagist Movement

Early in the 20th Century, H.D., Ezra Pound, and William Carlos Williams helped to revolutionize the practice of poetry with an emphasis on concision, direct language, and a focus on the image. This class will study that movement for its relevance to us as writers today. Offering prompts week by week, students will try out experiments that were novel for these early Modernist writers. All levels welcome. Emphasis is on the joy of writing.
