2012 Lit Fest Salon: Endurance and the Long-Distance Writer

Salon Features: Kimberly McClintock, Phyllis Barber, and Steven Schwartz.

Runners famously train hard to develop endurance, and the truth is writers have to, as well. Is the real secret to being a writer staying with the work over the long haul? How does a writer maintain his or her energy and enthusiasm early morning after early morning, late night after late night? There are the obvious answers: coffee, alcohol, insanity. Are there less obvious (and less harmful) alternatives for sparking the inspiration to endure? Listen in to this interactive session as the panel discusses ways that we can help one another maintain.
