Queer Creatives

Queer Creatives is a community writing program that aims to connect LGBTQIA+* writers and makers through collective story making and story sharing by:

    • Nurturing the creative lives of LGBTQIA+ writers and makers.

    • Fostering a fun and encouraging community of fellow LGBTQIA+ creatives in Colorado and beyond.

    • Connecting LGBTQIA+ creatives to valuable resources that will support them in growing their craft.

    • Encouraging writers and artists of all identities to pursue their wildest creative dreams.

By offering free monthly meetups, opportunities to connect with other LGBTQIA+ writers, and our annual Queer Creatives Fest, our mission is to amplify the voices and stories of Queer writers and makers.

*LGBTQIA+ is an abbreviation for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer or questioning, intersex, asexual, and more.

Other upcoming events include Drag Brunch at Lit Fest, with local drag queen Alice Glamoure, and The Lavender Lyre, a special evening of storytelling and music in partnership with the Baroque Chamber Orchestra of Colorado.

    Monthly Meetups

Our free monthly meetups provide a space for LGBTQIA+ writers and creatives of all types to share our stories and connect with community. We also welcome folks who are questioning their gender or sexual orientation and those who are in solidarity with LGBTQIA+ communities. Our intention is to center LGBTQIA+ voices during our meetups.

    Queer Creatives Fest

The Queer Creatives Fest is open to writers of all genres and creatives of all types who identify as members of LGBTQIA+ communities. We also welcome folks who are questioning their gender or sexual orientation and those who are in solidarity with LGBTQIA+ communities. Our intention is to center LGBTQIA+ people at the festival.
