Advanced Novel: Online Summer Camp for ages 11-13

This camp is designed for writers who love to obsess over characters, world building, plotting, and all the things required to write a novel. We’ll dig into developing ideas, solving plot problems, writing beginnings and endings, and planning for those dreaded middle slumps. You’ll have writing time as well as skill-building exercises for key fiction elements like plot, setting, characters, scenes, and more. In addition, we’ll talk about overcoming writer’s block and reaching “the end” of your novel. Writers will leave with pages written for a new novel or lots of headway on a novel-in-progress—and, most importantly, plans to keep them going all summer long. All genres of fiction welcome!
