During this two-hour workshop writers will walk together around Bluff Lake Nature Center, pausing often to engage with nature writing prompts and somatic practices which awaken presence, connection and craft. Together, we will lie on the ground, listen to the sounds of the water and the animals that live around it, spend time with individual blades of grass and leaves, and much more—experiences which we will process through writing. These two hours will be spent in service of developing our writing, our well being, and our connection to the world we live within.
This course is part of our Writing for Wellness program, which focuses on the relationship between the creative act of writing and wellbeing. While we may look at craft during these programs, our focus will be on writing that supports ourselves as human beings.
