In this class we'll look at elements that provide a driving force in the novel, including but not limited to: character choices, mystery, conflict, humor, and pacing. In this innovative approach to workshop, our time will be split between generative work that honors intuition, highly-targeted craft analysis, and targeted feedback designed to elevate our own strengths and build intimacy with our reader. All reading and feedback of our peers will take place during class time, not outside. Outside of class will be dedicated to craft, reading, generation and revision that pertains to your own work.
NOTE: Applications for this class are open to members of the Book Project, Portfolio Year, and Post-Grad Year only through Monday, August 24. Starting on Tuesday August 25 we'll begin to process applications from the general public.
