The Daytime Fall Writing Cohort invites young writers ages 12–16 who are homeschooled, unschooled, or have flexible daytime schedules to join a small group of like-minded peers in an exploration of creative writing. Over 12 weeks, writers will receive inspiration, guidance, support, and connection through sessions that offer exciting prompts, practices, and techniques across a variety of genres, including fiction, poetry, and playwriting. Together we will build characters and worlds, learn distinctive storytelling techniques, explore personal interests and memories, and turn our ideas into writing that is artistic, vivid, and imaginative. Interested students will occasionally be invited to share their work for personalized feedback, and as a group we will practice how best to support one another’s growth.
This cohort is open to writers of all skill levels.
