Joanna Ruocco

Joanna Ruocco holds a PhD from the University of Denver and is very excited to be back in town, particularly back at Lighthouse! She is the author of several small-press novels and collections, including Dan and Field Glass, co-authored with Joanna Howard. As Joanna Lowell, she's a USA Today bestselling author of historical romance, including most recently, A Rare Find, which was a NPR Best Book of 2025, and A Shore Thing, which was named a New York Times Best Romance of 2024. She teaches in the English Department at Wake Forest University and is the Chair of the experimental fiction press, Fiction Collective Two.
