Shana Kelly started her career as a literary agent at the William Morris Agency in New York and London, where she sold foreign and British rights for the agency for ten years. Shana was the signing agent for many successful authors, including New York Times bestseller Curtis Sittenfeld, author of Prep and American Wife. Since moving to Denver, Shana has worked as a book editor (including My Squirrel Days by Ellie Kemper), publishing consultant and writer, and teaches at Lighthouse Writers Workshop in Denver. Shana is the screenwriter, archival research coordinator and associate producer for the Peace Corps documentary A Towering Task, which premiered at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC in 2019. She is currently writing a documentary about the history of the League of Women Voters.

Shana's expertise with the material and her warm and inclusive teaching style made learning about the business of book publishing almost fun!
