Jenny M. Chu

Jenny M. Chu has been facilitating trauma-informed and community writing workshops for 11 years. She completed a 27-hour facilitator training at Write Around Portland in 2014 and eventually ended up on their staff helping to build community through writing in homeless shelters, senior and memory care facilities, addiction recovery centers, low-income and affordable housing, organizations that serve people with disabilities, veteran services, and more. She has continued to facilitate writing in community through Lighthouse Writers Workshop and their Hard Times Workshops. She has her Masters in Creative Writing from the University of San Francisco, and is currently pursuing her Masters in Acupuncture at Colorado Chinese Medicine University. She is still seeking the possibility of a horizon on a clockless day.
