Anjali Singh founded her eponymous literary agency in 2024 after 28 years in the publishing industry. Before launching her own company, she worked at Harlem-based boutique agency Ayesha Pande Literary for nine years. And before the agenting chapter of her life, she worked as Editorial Director at Other Press, as an editor at Vintage Books, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, and Simon + Schuster, and as a literary scout for international publishers. She is best known for having championed Marjane Satrapi's PERSEPOLIS after stumbling across it on a visit to Paris and has always been drawn to the thrill of discovering new writers; Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Samantha Hunt, and Saleem Haddad are all writers whose careers she helped launch.

Some of the authors she currently represents are memoirists Bridgett Davis, author of the acclaimed memoir THE WORLD ACCORDING TO FANNIE DAVIS: MY MOTHER’S LIFE IN THE DETROIT NUMBERS and Zara Chowdhary, winner of the 2025 Shakti Bhatt and Godrej First Book Awards and finalist for the PEN/Galbraith Prize for THE LUCKY ONES. Recently published novels include FLOODLINES by Saleem Haddad and THE HAIR OF THE PIGEON by Mohammed Massoud Morsi.

She focuses on literary fiction and memoir as well as representing graphic novel writers and illustrators across all age ranges. She lives in NYC with her husband and two teenage daughters. You can find out more about her here: www.anjalisinghagency.com
