Amanda McCracken

Amanda McCracken is an award-winning journalist who is passionate about experiences that highlight the intersection of wellness, travel, and relationships. A few places her work has been published include the New York Times, Washington Post, Guardian, National Geographic, Vogue, Outside, NPR, ESPN, and Runner’s World. She has worked at CU for over 20 years as an instructor and Writing Center consultant. She is a TEDx speaker and coach and the host of The Longing Lab podcast. Her investigative memoir When Longing Becomes Your Lover was published in February 2026 with Hachette. Her writing has led to interviews with Katie Couric, USA Today, Tamron Hall, Salon, and the BBC.
