Peter Markus

Peter Markus is the author of the novel Bob, or Man on Boat, as well as the books of stories, We Make Mud and The Fish and the Not Fish, all three published by Dzanc Books. A forthcoming book of poems, When Our Fathers Return to Us as Birds, will be out in September of 2021 from Wayne State University Press. His work has appeared in journals included Denver Quarterly, Quarterly West, Northwest Review, Willow Springs, Iowa Review, Chicago Review, Alaska Quarterly Review, Black Warrior Review, among others. He lives in Michigan where he teaches at Oakland University and is the Senior Writer at InsideOut Literary Arts in Detroit.
