Crafting a novel (or short stories) doesn’t have to be lonely work. In this eight-week workshop for intermediate and advanced writers of fiction we’ll share from our works-in-progress with the intent of nurturing them toward their best and most powerful incarnations. Discussions will focus on development and growth, both of the project and the writer, who will guide their own workshops. The class will include generative exercises on craft, including but not limited to narrative voice, point-of-view, effective pacing, dialogue, and creating rich and memorable characters
Scheduling note: This class will skip the week of Thanksgiving.
Prerequisite: At least one intermediate or advanced class and permission from the instructor. To apply, please email a writing sample (three to five pages) and a brief description of your workshop history to [email protected]. If your application is accepted, you will receive a password to register for the class.
