Young Writers Summer Camp

    Thank you for a great summer camp season! Registration for 2024 camps will open in early 2024.

    Half-day camps will be offered in person at our brand-new Denver location at 3844 York St and virtually from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM and 1:30 to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, throughout the summer. Add-ons will include before care and lunch care.

    Lighthouse's Young Writers Program camps are led by published and award-winning writers, and each workshop is designed to foster creativity, self-expression, and excitement about writing. In-person and virtual half-day camps are available for all age groups throughout the summer. A one-week, full-day summer intensive is offered once per summer for both middle school and high school writers.

    Half-Day Camps

    Our half-day camps offer small groups of six to 12 students and focus on a specific writing genre or topic. Registration opens in early 2024.

    Middle School Summer Writing Intensive

    Our full-day Summer Writing Intensive, allows young writers to explore a variety of genres and topics with several local authors throughout the week. Camp week ends with a public reading where each camper can share a piece of writing from the week. An application is required. Applications will open in early 2024.

    High School Summer Writing Intensive

    Our full-day Summer Writing Intensive, allows teens to explore a variety of genres and topics with several local authors throughout the week. Camp week ends with a public reading where each writer can share his or her original writing. An application is required. Applications will open in early 2024.
