This workshop uses the Major Arcana as a framework for writing fragmented, nonlinear, and hybrid work across poetry, creative nonfiction, and experimental prose. Rather than treating tarot as symbolism or divination, we'll approach the cards as narrative pressure points such as rupture, choice, loss, and transformation. Each week, participants will generate poems, lyric essays, and short hybrid creative nonfiction pieces in response to a small cluster of cards such as The Tower, The Hermit, Death, and The Moon. Craft discussions will focus on juxtaposition, associative logic, repetition, and the lyric turn, with attention to how these techniques function differently in poetry and creative nonfiction while remaining adaptable across forms.
