Book Project Presents: Unbordered Writing with Jean Guerrero (Livestream)

$30.00 Members
$40.00 Non-members

We live in an era of silos and echo chambers, with demagogues in Washington and Silicon Valley narrowing what we see and what we imagine is possible. What can writers do to resist that containment? Jean Guerrero will explore the practice of unbordered writing: reporting and storytelling that crosses the borders between nations, identities, disciplines, timelines and ideologies in search of deeper truths. Drawing on her work in Crux: A Cross-Border Memoir, which won a PEN Literary Award and was named one of the New York Times Editor's Choice, and Hatemonger: Stephen Miller, Donald Trump, and the White Nationalist Agenda, she will discuss how fiction and nonfiction writers alike can challenge inherited narratives, bridge seemingly irreconcilable divides and expand the limits of the American imagination.
