Writing in Color: August Wayfinding Session—Writing as Sanctuary

$5.00 Members
$0.00 Non-members

Writing in Color programming celebrates writers and creatives of all genres and levels, focusing on the traditions, histories, triumphs, and challenges of those who identify as Black, Indigenous, or People of Color (BIPOC+). The goal of this program is to support BIPOC+ writers and creatives as they focus on their writing practice by fostering a supportive and encouraging community. We ask that all participants be mindful of this intention; anyone who is disruptive may be asked to leave. Learn more about Writing in Color here!

Writing as Sanctuary
When the world feels heavy, writing can be a sanctuary. In this bite-sized version of Katerina Jeng's "Writing as Sanctuary" workshop, we'll explore writing as a spiritual practice—a way to process difficult emotions, alchemize overwhelm into clarity, and reconnect with our inner wisdom. Through guided meditation, embodied reading, and generative writing prompts, we’ll learn techniques to write our way back to center when the world feels chaotic. No previous writing or meditation experience necessary. Come as you are, and leave with tools to support your mental and emotional wellbeing through the page.
