Writing in Color at West Side Books
Writing in Color is a community writing program created by and for Black and Brown writers in Colorado and beyond. The goal of this program is to support BIPOC+ (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) writers and creatives as they focus on their writing practice by fostering a supportive and encouraging community. We ask that all participants be mindful of this intention; anyone who is disruptive may be asked to leave.
What could be better than spending an evening in a cozy local bookstore? Spending that evening exploring said bookstore with fellow Writing in Color members through activities like Bookstore Bingo and a Bookish Scavenger Hunt! Join Writing in Color for our September meetup at West Side Books in Denver for a creative evening of community, story swapping, and book-themed activities. Winners will receive prizes from Lighthouse. Bring your friends, make new friends, and dive into the shelves at West Side with us!
