Join with us for a second annual celebration of Lighthousers who have experienced recent breakthroughs in publishing. Hear the ins and outs of the process they’ve enjoyed (or endured) in getting their manuscripts from crazy first idea and into actual print.
Each panelist will read a short passage from the book and tell the story of how it all came about, followed by a Q&A session and some barely contained celebration (i.e., toasts may happen).
The Panelists: Harrison Fletcher is the author of the collage memoir, Decanso For My Father: A Life In Fragments, forthcoming from the University of Nebraska Press; Eleanor Brown's first novel, The Weird Sisters, is number 14 on the New York Times' bestseller list; Jackie St. Joan's novel, My Sisters Made of Light, has recently been published by Press 53; and well-known reviewer and blogger Jenny Shank has a forthcoming novel, The Ringer, to be published by The Permanent Press in March 2011.
