Lit Fest Workshop Info

Congratulations! If you're viewing this page, you've earned a spot in an advanced workshop at Lit Fest 2024. We had hundreds of applicants from all over the world, so we hope this news lifts your writerly spirits.

This message will provide you with the information you need to accept your spot, decline it, or put in a request for a payment plan.

ACCEPTING YOUR SPOT

Once you’ve decided to take your spot, you have three options.

-1- The best way to experience Lit Fest is by purchasing a Lit Fest Gold Pass or Weekend Gold Pass (depending on which workshop you're taking), which offers all of the typical perks of an advanced class (see below), and also five craft classes, additional discounts, and a meeting with an agent or editor (details here). You can see most of the workshops and activities planned in this draft of our schedule page here. Details may change, but our website is always the most up to date.

-2- Advanced Weeklong Workshop plus Agent Meeting or Advanced Weekend Workshop Plus Agent Meeting: You’ll get everything included in workshop tuition, plus a meeting with an agent or editor.

-3- You can sign up for just the workshop (view workshop registration pages here). Tuition for advanced workshops includes the workshop itself, daily continental breakfast, all business panels, the Kickoff and Closing Parties on June 10 and 14, and the orientation (if in a weeklong workshop). The password should have been sent with your Submittable acceptance.

Please note: If you’re in the Book Project, you will receive an email from Torin about registration procedures, including class credits, and considerations if you’re taking more than one workshop.

If you're accepted into more than one class, please reach out to us; you'll receive a discount code that strips out some of the cost that's duplicated across classes..

Enrollment for activities outside of the advanced classes open to the general public on Thursday, April 4 and Lighthouse members on Tuesday, April 2.

PAYMENT PLANS or DECLINING YOUR SPOT

Everyone is welcome to initiate a payment plan for passes, classes, or any part of Lit Fest. First you'll need to make sure you've registered here (if you've registered for anything at Lighthouse, you have an account so can skip this step). Next, fill out this form to initiate your payment plan. If you have questions or problems with the form, please write to Brissa Mendoza ([email protected]) and she’ll get you set up. Within one or two business days, you’ll get an email from Partial.ly asking you to accept the terms of your payment plan. Please do so as soon as possible; you aren’t officially enrolled until you do.

If you're looking for accommodations, we have this list of nearby accommodations. The Catbird is the closest, just up the road on the bike and walking path, and the hotel lends out bikes and scooters to those staying there. Many people have also had luck looking for Airbnbs and other rentals in the RiNo or North City Park neighborhoods.

If you're no longer interested in taking this Lit Fest workshop, we understand, although we'll miss you! We'd still love to see you at some of the readings, craft seminars, etc., some of which are available on Zoom if you're not local. If you're declining your spot in the advanced class, we’d love to know your decision as soon as possible so we can inform our waitlist sooner rather than later. If you need more time to decide or have any other questions, please just let us know by replying to this message or writing [email protected].

Congratulations again, and hope to see you in June!
