Each member of the Basic Book Project Post-Grad Year will receive:
Mentorship
- Six 1:1 meetings with your mentor
- Three official cohort classes with your mentor
- Two sessions occur during the weekend intensives—these will include shared pages from cohort members (such as openings, middle turning points, and endings).
- Our current mentors, pending demand, include Tiffany Quay Tyson, Natalie Hodges, and Sarah Elizabeth Schantz. More will be added as needed.
Manuscript Support
- Your mentor will read up to 50 pages during the year
- You’ll get four hours of consultation time with Shana Kelly
- You’ll receive one 8-Week Workshop credit and two 4-Week Workshop credits
Community
- Join the two Book Project weekend intensives, comprising three days in the fall and spring, focused on revising and finishing your manuscript
- A built-in, smaller community with your cohort which you can meet with throughout the year
- A one-year Lighthouse Membership (including access to writing hours at Lighthouse) and further discounts on classes
- For Post-Grad writers who sell their manuscripts to a publisher, Lighthouse will provide a launch opportunity!
Tuition: $5,800 or ~$483/month
Post-Grad Year Plus
- Everything included in the Post-Grad year, plus
- A full manuscript read by your mentor
- Four additional hours with Shana Kelly, including two that are face-to-face meetings. She’ll read the opening of your manuscript before the initial conference
- One Lit Fest Full-Access Business Pass (or equivalent, if an agent/editor has already been procured)
