At this Writing in Color meetup, we'll delve into the tender and transformative practice of inner child work through generative prompts, brief readings, and reflective exercises. Together, we'll deepen our understanding of the stories we carry from childhood and how they shape our voice on the page today. This space invites us to soften toward our past selves, cultivate community-based healing, and write toward a softer future. BIPOC+ folx from all walks of life are welcome. You don't need to be a writer or a lover of words, just a curious heart and open mind.

Community Building Through Writing
Many of us crave community, but it can still be really hard to turn up at meetups and receptions and writing events when you don’t really know (or barely know) a lot of the other writers and artists there. At this special meetup, the focus will be on getting to know (and work with) a few new people through collaborative writing prompts. Come prepared to chat, share, write, and expand your network of fellow queer creatives.
