Sueyeun Juliette Lee is the author of Solar Maximum (Futurepoem), No Comet, That Serpent in the Sky Means Noise, (Kore Press) and Aerial Concave Without Cloud (forthcoming from Nightboat Books). A former Pew Fellow in the Arts for Literature, she has held artist residencies in poetry, video art, and dance at Kunstnarhuset Messen in Norway, Hafnarborg in Iceland, the UCross Foundation in Wyoming, Rockland Woods in Washington, and others. Her installation and video work, Peace Light (2017)was commissioned by Asian Arts Initiative as part of their 25th Anniversary project, (ex)CHANGE: History, Place, Presence. She has consulted for the Smithsonian Institute's Asian Pacific American Center's Asian American Literature Festival and for the Asian American Writers' Workshop. She has given workshops and talks at The Kelly Writers House, The Poets House, UC Santa Cruz, and other spaces, and has published essays about contemporary poetry, the avant-garde, and Asian American literature. She currently works as the Program Director at Chinook Fund.
