Ellen Blum Barish’s essays have appeared in Brevity, Tablet, Literary Mama, Full Grown People, and have aired on Chicago Public Radio. She is founding editor and publisher of the literary publication Thread which earned three notables in Best American Essays. Ellen is the author of the essay collection Views from the Home Office Window: On Motherhood, Family and Life and is finishing a memoir. She was awarded the Artistic Excellence Award from the Skokie Arts Commission in 2018. Ellen teaches writing at Northwestern University and Story Studio Chicago and works privately with writers.
