Ready to shake up and refresh your process, while engaging a supportive community of fellow nonfiction/memoir writers? Whether book-length or complex shorter pieces, bringing a creation into the world requires an audacious exploratory period focused on springboards and brainstorming new material, followed by reflection and revision, often enhanced by collaborative processing. We'll spend the first weeks of the class reading, generating, and experimenting with new work as a group. The second phase will be dedicated solely to workshopping in innovative, inclusive, and student-driven modes to advance your work toward finished pieces or chapters.
Note: The first two sessions of this class (Oct 21 and 28) will be held fully remotely on Zoom. The remaining six sessions (Nov 4 to Dec 9) will be held in a hybrid format, with the option to attend in person at the Lighthouse building or continue attending virtually on Zoom.
