Our first job as writers is to pay attention to the physical world, using all our senses, waiting for sights, sounds, smells etc. to “glimmer” at us, suggesting that this thing we witness on the outside will help us unlock some stories on the inside. In this workshop we will talk about this process and then try a series of exercises, designed both to physicalize your prose and to reveal the secrets you have been keeping from yourself.
You are registering for the livestream workshop; if you'd like to attend in person, in Denver, register here.
Also, Pam Houston will be giving a keynote talk later the same day, at 7PM. Join us if you're interested (registration required).
